Lying in the valley which runs East-West at the foot of the Cévenes is our local town, le Vigan is small, far from any route nationale, let alone a motorway.
The Cévennes
The commune of Bréau and Salagosse is on the southern slopes of the Cévennes, on the foothills that descend from Mont Aigoual, the second highest mountain in the Cévennes.Go up the hill from our valley and thre is an immense area of mountains stretching north to the horizon.
The Causse
Our view to the south is of the Causse, a vast limestone plateau, including the famous Cirque de Navacelles.
