Kate

Kate is our older daughter. Well, how do you start describing someone so lively, funny and talented?

After school in Edinburgh and London, Kate studied Economics at Manchester University and then Law at the College of Law in London. She then joined the firm of Dawson Cornwell, where she has worked ever since, as a divorce lawyer.

The year 2002 was a turning point in her life: she bought her first home - on the Brixton/Clapham border - and met Steve.

The year 2004 was another milestone: at the age of 32, Kate became a partner in Dawson Cornwell (that's the proud parents speaking). Then she and Steve bought their first house, in Stoke Newington. Jude continued to live in Kate and Steve's house for some time. Here are photos of Kate (as well as pictures of Steve) happy with their new life in Lidfield Road.

Kate and Steve announced their engagement in 2005 and Jude and I joined them in the engagement party celebrations in New Zealand, in early 2006.

The year 2006 is proving another major milestone. Kate is now an equity partner in Dawson Cornwell, and on 24 September we were happy to be there for marriage to Steve. After a brief ceremony at the registry office, a 100 people met in a restaurant to celebrate. We await the profesional photos, but meanwhile, here are the family snapshots.
